Min. width of strokes is the Min. distance between the two edges of a stroke, measured perpendicular to the stroke center line.
This data determines whether the design file could be the really signed products. For LED illuminating signs, the uniformity of illumination largely determines the final effect of the signage. If the data is too small, that means we can not place the LED lights in the signage shell evenly, and even would cause that we can not finish the fabricated metal signage shell.
So in general, for the LED backlit signs:
In order to make the LED backlit letters have a uniform lighting effect, we suggest the Min. height of the letters reach 100mm at least.
Too small letters, such as less than 50mm height, even if we can finish the fabricated metal signs shell, still could not place evenly and enough LED lights in the signage shell, then the backlit signs could not have the good halo effect.

Yes, you can use the custom font for your signage. Please send us the fonts file you need. If it is not a free font, before you order the fonts, we suggest you contact us at first, for the font you choose does not fit to be the backlit signs, it might not have enough space to place the LEDs for some font with thin strokes.
Our backlit signs are all customized, so we do not have the stand fonts. But we need to place the LED inside the signs case, so if the strokes of the font you choose are too thin, we need to make them bold, so that we have enough space to place the LED evenly.
We prefer a vector format design file with all fonts and objects converted to “curves” or “paths”, if possible.
Other file formats such as .jpg or .png are bitmap, which could not give us enough detail to know the exact cost, only could be used to know the ballpark price.
Since we need to place the LED in the signage shell evenly, so that the lighting of the signs is uniform. We need the Min. width of the strokes reach 10mm(0.4″) at least, and the height of the signs be more than 10mm(4″) , then your logo might be the backlit signs.
