The Common model is the most widely used backlit sign: versatile and clean. “Common” is simply its name, not a lower grade. The acrylic back-panel is fully hidden inside the metal sign shell. The metal face is laser cut, the metal sides are fabricated, and the two are laser-welded together. The acrylic back-panel is screwed to stainless steel support bridges inside the metal sign shell, so the sides carry no screws. It mounts off the wall and reflects light off the surface into a soft, even halo. With its simple build and stronger weather resistance, the Common model is a strong fit for large letters, curved walls, outdoor sites, and extreme climates, and large sizes can use an aluminum sign shell to reduce weight. Every Common model sign we make is fully custom to your design and built with solid materials and workmanship. A well-made sign genuinely raises your brand image and pulls more eyes your way, which supports sales over time.

Product structure

Common model LED backlit signs use a fabricated 3D metal sign shell. The metal face is laser cut, the metal sides are fabricated, and the two are joined with laser welding. The acrylic back-panel is screwed to stainless steel support bridges inside the metal sign shell, so the sides carry no screws. The acrylic back-panel sits fully inside the metal sign shell, laser cut, and is not visible from the front or the side. Light passes through this hidden back-panel onto the wall and reflects into a halo around the letters. Because the halo is reflected, the sign mounts off the wall to leave room for the reflection, and the effect depends on wall reflectivity, so lighter and smoother walls reflect better.

Installation
Must stand off the backing wall for the reflected halo. The recommended distance is 13/16 in (20 mm), set by the default tube spacers.

Size notes

  • We recommend letters from 3-15/16 in (100 mm) high. For smaller letters, send us your vector file and we will assess it.
  • Very large letters suit the Common model well. An aluminum sign shell can reduce weight and install more easily, and we assess the exact sizing from your design. Inside large letters, we set reinforcing ribs to the letter shape to keep the faces flat and prevent oil canning.

Installation accessories note

  • Stud bolts fix the sign to the backing wall.
  • Nuts and washers suit situations where installers can reach the other side of the wall.
  • The Common model must mount off the wall, so stainless steel tube spacers, 13/16 in (20 mm) long, are included by default, keeping all parts an even distance from the wall. Tell us in advance if you need a different distance.

Warranty note

  • Parts with defects in materials or workmanship are replaced under our 3-year limited warranty.
  • We pack the sign only after you approve the finished-product photos. Keep the layout template and wiring or installation diagrams for a smoother install.

Built for tough outdoor and extreme-climate sites.

The Common model is our workhorse for outdoor and large-format signs. Outdoor signs use waterproof LED, coastal or high-salt sites switch to marine-grade 316 stainless steel, sign shells and mounting hardware alike, to resist salt corrosion, and in rainy regions we plan waterproofing, drainage, and edge detailing. Large signs can use an aluminum sign shell to reduce weight and install more easily, and curved walls work too: flat letters mount off the wall on stainless steel tube spacers, or we can build the letters to the curve of your wall so every letter keeps the same distance from it. Outdoor signs run on waterproof low-voltage 12V DC LED with a UL Listed Mean Well power supply, so a local electrician can wire them to code.

In extreme or high-heat climates, we often recommend the Common model first. With its stronger weather resistance, it holds up more steadily under strong sun and wide temperature swings. If you start from our free quote form (it does not take attachments yet), we reply by email and ask for your logo, wall photo, and reference images. Installation and electrical

We are a factory in China and do not include installation. Signs ship UL Listed with a Mean Well power supply by default. Local approvals, on-site measurement, wall preparation, and final wiring are handled by your installer or electrician.

Payment confirms your order. We accept PayPal only. Bank transfers, checks, and cards all go through PayPal, which charges a 4.4% + $0.30 fee that you cover, while our quote covers production and shipping.

Payment activates the order but does not start production. The next step is shop drawing confirmation.

This is the most important gate before production. We prepare production-ready shop drawings from the quote you approved, and we build exactly to what you approve.

We build to the confirmed specs, not to guesswork. Large, complex, or high-volume orders can take longer.

How it’s built

We cut and form the metal sign shells, weld and finish the surface, prepare the acrylic panels, install the LED system and internal wiring, then complete final assembly and internal inspection. Electroplated and chemically etched finishes are produced by specialist partners. Changes after production starts mean rework, a new quote, and delay.

Step06

as soon as production is completeWe send finished-product photos so the customer can check appearance before shipping.

Before packing, we send finished photos for your approval, and we do not ship until you confirm. This confirms appearance, finish, construction, and lighting effect. It is not a second round of design. Please reply promptly, because we pack and protect the sign as soon as you approve the finished photos. Every extra unpacking raises the risk of scratching a mirror-polished finish.

Step07

we run a 24-hour continuous light test before shippingThe sign runs through a burn-in lighting test before packing starts.

While you review the finished photos, the sign runs its 24-hour light test.

Anything that fails is repaired and the full 24 hours are run again. We pack and release only after the test passes and you have confirmed the photos.

How it ships

DHL door-to-door by default, with import duties on you, arriving in about a week to most non-remote areas. DHL clears customs and sends you the duty amount by text message or WhatsApp. Before paying, verify any duty request with official DHL using the tracking number (scam messages imitate customs notices). If you’d rather not handle duties separately, you can choose DDP (delivered duty paid) air freight. We do not ship on a customer’s own DHL, UPS, or FedEx account.
